Acid reflux is a very uncomfortable feeling, it is caused by the stomach acid traveling up towards the throat. One reason you may suffer from acid reflux is because thestomach is not producing enough hydrochloride acid to digest foods. So try eating foods which increase the level of hydrochloride acid:

- - Black olives
- - Leafy vegetables
Also try to eat raw foods they will digest quicker and need less work from digestive system to break down proteins.

EAT SMALLER MEALS, SIT UP LONGER
By eating smaller meals it puts less pressure on the digestive system and prevents stomach acid backflow. Avoid lying down after your meal, this is likely to trigger heartburn. Plan your meals so you wait 2-3 before going to bed, this will give enough time to digest food. When going to sleep try resting your head higher than your stomach, this prevents stomach acid flowing up.
